Good news for those who are already or thinking about attending the Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship, one of the Champions Tour’s biggest draws has committed to play. Tom Watson will join an already stellar field at Baltimore Country Club’s Five Farms East Course for the final senior major championship of the year. Watson, fresh off his near-miss at the British Open, will undoubtedly receive some much deserved congratulations from the Baltimore galleries. Thus far, he’s only played in 7 events on the Champions Tour in 2009, so this commitment is a welcomed surprise. Competitive rounds will begin on Thursday Oct. 1. D.A. Weibring will defend his title, which he helped capture with a long birdie putt on the 72nd hole in 2008.
