The sport of golf, absent from Olympic competition since the early 20th century has been given the recommendation for inclusion in the 2016 Summer Olympic Games. The International Olympic Committee still must cast the final vote, but things are looking really good at the moment. I, for one, would love to see Tiger Woods at the age of 40 going after a gold medal to add to his impressive resume. Of course, by then, the next Tiger Woods may be upon us. Actually, I take that back, there will never be another player quite like Tiger. But golf being truly an international sport is long overdue in it’s inclusion into Olympic Games competition. What do you think about Golf in the Olympics? Is this something that excites you?
