Tiger Woods and Tony Romo Played Straight-Up from the Pro Tees
Today at the AT&T National’s: Earl Woods Memorial Pro-Am, the only amateur who played the professional tees was Dallas Cowboy Quarterback Tony Romo. The only amateur that was booed was Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo. And definitely, the only amateur that that left with the beautiful blonde who sung the National Anthem at Opening Ceremonies was Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo.
Welcome to Washington, D.C. Tony. While it’s not exactly football weather out there, you wouldn’t have known it by seeing and especially hearing the crowd. Fear not Redskins Nation, your beloved Jason Campbell was among the pro-am participants today and so was Washington Capitals Head Coach Bruce Boudreau.
But the real buzz today centered mostly on a finely orchestrated Opening Ceremonies which featured a well struck National Anthem by talented bombshell Jessica Simpson, a well choreographed 4-parachute exhibition from the 1o1st Airborne and some well deserved attention for the brave, Wounded Warriors Project, as they hit the ceremonial first ball with Tiger.
The stage is set for a great tournament with Tiger, defending champion Anthony Kim, Vijay Singh, Jim Furyk and many more of the best players of the game right here in our backyard.
Remember to get out to attend the AT&T National, at least one day, if not all. This tournament will not be back to Congressional until 2012.
Tiger Woods goes off the first tee at 1:02 pm on Thursday to start his tournament, while Anthony Kim goes off the 10th tee at 8:00am.
