
The Former Redskins Great Also has a Passion for Golf
Tournament Director Teo Sodeman today announced former Washington Redskin Brian Mitchell will serve as the Tournament Host for the 2009 Melwood Prince George’s County Open, which will be played the week of June 1-7, 2009.Mitchell will be involved in all aspects of the tournament including Media Day May 4, Pro Celebrity Shootout, Half-Day Pro-Am, Pro-Am Pairings Party and the Community Leader Awards/Pro-Am Awards Dinner on June 3 just to name a few.
“I just feel it is important to help any organization that I am close to or has impacted myself or my family,” said Mitchell.“Another big reason I was happy to serve as the tournament host was location,” said Mitchell. “Prince Georges County is a great area with a rich and diverse culture. It is a pleasure to come out here and help the community any way I can.”
