Tiger’s win at the Arnold Palmer Invitational yesterday put golf back on the map in terms of competition for remote controls. Woods and the rest of the PGA TOUR held strong against the NCAA Baskettball Tournament. In fact, Sunday’s final round received the highest rating for televised golf since the final round of last year’s U.S. Open.
NBC Sports says the final round drew a 4.9 rating with a 10 share.
The rating for the tournament was up 23 percent from last year, which Tiger won ironically, and attracted more viewers than the British Open and the PGA Championship, which were without Tiger’s presence.
