Congratulations to Billy Casper Golf, whose Compass Pointe Golf Course in Pasadena, Maryland has become just the 13th course in the state to achieve the honor of Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. The honor is given to courses who best display high standards protecting the environment and preserving the natural heritage of golf. In attaining certification from the conservation group Audubon International, Compass Pointe’s 36-hole layout successfully maintains sound environmental practices in six key areas: environmental planning, wildlife and habitat management, outreach and education, chemical use reduction, water conservation, and water quality management.
Designed by award-winning architect Lindsay Bruce Ervin – Compass Pointe Golf Courses offers players a wide variety of terrains among the 36 holes of championship-caliber golf, including the links-style North/East combination and the tree-lined, parkland-style South/West pairing.
