Look Out for Golf Channel Coverage of Erik Compton, who has PNH
Erik, his wife Barbara and 9-day old daughter Petra arrived safely today from North Miami Beach to the site of this year’s Honda Classic PGA National Golf Club. We got in an afternoon practice session in very cool windy conditions and this thoroughbred named “Erik with a K” as I like to call him (as he likes to be reminded of his Nordic background) has sorted out of all his equipment and is looking forward to his start on Thursday at 1:39pm off of the 10th tee. He’ll be playing with Webb Simpson and Colt Knost.
I’m currently picking up some Italian food for dinner and shuttling it back to the hotel for everyone so that we can eat and try to get some rest for another big day tomorrow. Erik has several interviews lined up and The Golf Channel plans to follow us around as well. It will be another practice day but things are looking pretty good.
